About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to interpret the freshness and vitality of blue irises through simple geometric shapes, in a cubist style. Acrylic and vibrant gold pigments bring a harmony between nature and abstraction. The flowers are tinted with different subtle shades of blue.
The foliage that adorns them is shades of gray-green, bronze green, sage green, and gold. The background is a perfectly plain, neutral light beige.
This one, however, includes… squares tinted with golden yellow and golden yellow ochre.
