Through a window studded with rain, the scene blurs and becomes poetic material. We glimpse two silhouettes under an umbrella, but their identity fades into the blur, as if the photograph chose to preserve the intimate rather than reveal the detail. The eye hesitates: to look at the drops on the surface, almost sculptural, or to lose itself behind them, in the gesture of the sheltered bodies. The work plays on this double plane: the rain, in the… first curtain, stands out as the protagonist, while the characters become a fragile apparition, an indistinct memory. The photograph captures less a documentary scene than a state of mind: that of a gaze traversed by emotion, tenderness, melancholy. The title, Toi toi mon toi, completes the transformation of the image into an intimate declaration, where love survives even the fog of memory and the filters of time.
Sophie Moisan, a Parisian photographer, has developed a unique artistic vision through her personal experiences. Adopting an impressionistic approach to photography, she alters her images to create visual compositions that disrupt ordinary perceptions. Her work evokes the fragile beauty of life—moving, poetic, and at once everyday and enigmatic. She seeks to transport the viewer into her own world of emotions and memories.
