Behind the rain, memory blurs. The drops become lenses, shatter the light, fragment the world into thousands of tiny images. What is clear is reduced to the present moment, and what is hidden already belongs to memory. A filter that transforms external reality into an abstract and sensual composition. Behind the watery curtain, a building in warm tones can… be glimpsed: ochre walls, touches of green and red, silhouettes of imprecise objects. The sharpness belongs to the drops, the blur to the shapes they conceal, thus inverting the usual hierarchy of perception. The viewer hesitates between observing the tangible foreground or seeking to penetrate the mystery of the background, like a fading memory.
Sophie Moisan, a Parisian photographer, has developed a unique artistic vision through her personal experiences. Adopting an impressionistic approach to photography, she alters her images to create visual compositions that disrupt ordinary perceptions. Her work evokes the fragile beauty of life—moving, poetic, and at once everyday and enigmatic. She seeks to transport the viewer into her own world of emotions and memories.
