About this artwork
In this work, I immersed myself in an abstract universe, where coatings, Indian ink and pigments mingle to evoke deep sensations. It is an exploration of the duality between chaos and order, matter and space interact, creating visual tension. Each line, each stain tells a raw emotion, inviting reflection.
White and black. Matter and fluid. The pure, the spiritual, the matriarchal and the trace, the temporal. the antagonisms are staged, searched… for, danced to transfigure an introspective state. The texture and chromatic treatment reveal themselves to our senses, seeking to open a portal to more inner states.
This piece will release a mysterious and captivating energy in your interior, a real visual anchor.
Stéphane Meier, trained in architecture, was passionate about various forms of art, devoting himself mainly to painting. He uses mixed media to create poetic visual scenes, manipulating coatings, pigments, inks and acrylics using different application methods. Superimposing layers, he seeks to create depth through transparency, representing the metamorphoses of time. Meier's works are introspective, he creates portals to memory, inviting the expression of emotions, revealing the spiritual texture of matter.
