About this artwork
Color takes center stage in this composition. Intense reds, pinks, and magentas coalesce into a vibrant expanse where floral forms emerge, merge, and partially dissolve. Using charcoal, I add dark, spontaneous lines and delicate textures that pierce the color fields, lending the work additional depth, movement, and a raw, graphic tension.
I deliberately allow the individual elements to compete with one another and simultaneously merge into a unified… movement. I am interested in the energy that arises when color and charcoal not only form surface and line, but also convey rhythm, tension, and emotion. Despite the high intensity, small, tranquil spaces and subtle details are preserved. To me, the image is like a polyphonic chorus of forms, colors, and drawn traces—immediate, sensual, and full of movement.
