About this artwork
In this project, the body is transformed into an object, reduced to a decorative presence.
I wanted to represent the loss of his vital impulse to offer only a frozen, almost inanimate posture.
Between tension and immobility, it becomes a fragile image of what remains, and of what society does to bodies.

Neo Stefaniak-Bruel, a painter, draftsman, and digital artist currently training in illustration, is steeped in an experimental journey fueled by musical collaborations. He modulates styles and techniques according to the desired emotion: oil pastel for vibration, digital drawing for strangeness, or monotype for spectrality, sometimes incorporating text and folding. His practice oscillates between flickering figuration, exploration of the absurd, and questioning the gaze, creating unsettling works, flirting with obsession. He conveys a sensation of floating and ambiguity, inviting the viewer to experience the fragility of reality and the poetry of everyday life.
