About this artwork
The work is dedicated to the strength of the creative, who rebels against the limits of reality. At the base of the painting stands a thick blue stripe, which represents reality forced within its boundaries, a straight line that condemns to a single direction, to the predictable, to non-choice. But on a lilac, ethereal background, lashes of blue color hit that prison and represent the rebellion of the creative. Above, an explosion of yellow and orange…
colors lights up the painting. It is creativity, the disruptiveness of the imagination, the courage to push oneself with the mind beyond known limits, to create new visions, shape reality into new forms, invent what for most is the unimaginable. The creative flies above the earthly boundaries, touches transcendence, is the rebel who breaks the straight line and is shipwrecked in a thousand directions, is the creator who breaks and multiplies reality, forges new visions and offers them to others.

Stefano Di Loreto is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited in prestigious art events nationwide, such as the 57th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in 2017, as well as in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands.
