About this artwork
"Torso Blue" is a sensual-aesthetic study of the human body, which, in its reduction to form, light, and color, achieves an almost sculptural abstraction. The intense lighting, which bathes one side in a luminous, almost artificial-looking blue, while the other half is enveloped in a gentle play of light and shadow, creates a tense duality between naturalness and artificiality, between physicality and idea.
The lines of the skin, resulting from… the subtle emphasis on muscles and ribs, evoke associations with classical marble sculptures.
Fine art pigment print under acrylic glass.
The frame is a slimline frame in gold.
The back of the picture is signed and numbered
