About this artwork
"crosscurrent" (3) is part of a series and is particularly striking when viewed together with "crosscurrent" (1) and (2). Layers of black, white, and muted earth tones evoke the tension between movement and stillness. The intersecting lines suggest invisible forces—currents that shift and collide, shaping both form and stillness.
Inspired by a stay in Lanzarote, these works were created. The paint was applied in pours, giving the pieces a special… dynamism and spontaneity. The use of sand created a tactile, rough surface. "crosscurrent" (1), (2), and (3) bring a natural and dynamic energy to you!
