About this artwork
The motif reflects the light and color impressions of a walk through the night in winter. It is not completely dark. The residual lights of the streets and houses and the stars in the sky break through the darkness and give the walker space for vague orientation. However, everything remains uncertain. Is a cat crossing the road? A dog barks in the distance. A pair of lovers squeeze into a dark corner and figures appear and disappear fleetingly. The…
picture should remain open for your own imaginary journeys through the night and who knows - perhaps your own associations will allow new visual impressions. The picture was painted with acrylic on canvas and covered with a matt varnish. The picture can also be purchased with a frame (see photo) in Prussian blue (profile edge 5cm high and 4cm wide/heavy). This costs an additional 100€.

Susanne Stahr lives in the Frankfurt area. In addition to mathematics, she studied art education with a focus on painting. Painting and drawing have been a part of her life since childhood. She discovered her talent for drawing at an early age and, at the age of 10, found herself taking portrait painting classes for adults. She has pursued her creativity professionally and continues to guide children in their creative development. She also works as a freelance artist. Her current focus is on exploring colors and color nuances, which find their form in both abstract painting and the realization of motifs from nature, animals, and plants.
