About this artwork
In the corn poppy is painted from a deep perspective, right in the middle of the wild meadow. Like lying down on the picnic area to rest. At the upper end, the corn poppy blooms profusely and leads to an avenue of trees. It's full of summer. A row of flowers connects the thicket in front with the sea of flowers behind. Like all of Susanne Wind's paintings, it is painted in egg tempera on canvas.

« I well remember the moment when the landscape in front of me dissolved into many patches of color and I luckily tried to capture this phenomenon with brush and paint. »
