About this artwork
The wheel and many technologies still rely on our capacity to draw a perfect circle with a circumference of 2πR. At the same time, the sphere also immediately reminds us of the earth and the solar system, especially the moon. This kind of imagery can be found in mediaeval manuscripts and much much earlier in Art History, a representation of the link between our universe and the Earth. As a result, the circle or sphere, have become one of my recurring…

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
