About this artwork
I live in one of the most beautiful regions of France: Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in Bordeaux to be more precise. The region is famous for its vineyards that stretch across vast areas, for its world-renowned wine, for its immense beaches, for its seafood, and so on. I love walking along the beach with my dog, who also loves admiring the ocean.
I created this painting using acrylics and a palette knife. This technique allows me to create textures and gives… the piece a sense of dynamism. The waves seem alive; you can hear their sound and the wind blowing. I can hear the cries of the seagulls, the sound of sailboats cutting through the waves. I can smell the ocean and feel the salt on my lips. And you?
