About this artwork
This painting represents the 4 seasons with their attributes. In my mother tongue the words: winter, spring, summer and autumn are feminine. So for me it was obvious to represent them as women. In my Ukrainian folk culture young women wear wreaths of flowers or leaves. I think it’s very beautiful! The circle in the center of the painting represents a year and an eternal change of seasons.
