About this artwork
I created this painting because I love horses. They are magnificent, graceful, majestic, and intelligent creatures. I wanted to highlight their musculature, mane, and the softness of their skin. To achieve this, I worked the texture with a palette knife, using matte paint for the skin and glossy paint for the eye and background. The result: it makes you want to pet it, doesn't it?
This horse has a very tender look, hence the title of the painting,… Tenderness.
