About this artwork
This watercolor painting captures the intensity of human emotions in vibrant colors and geometric shapes. With expressive flair, I wanted to visualize the inner turmoil and, at the same time, the power of the spirit. The drops and lines symbolize streams of thought that unfold inexorably. It brings vibrancy, depth, and a fascinating tension to any space.

Sylvia Lessig, who grew up in her father's artist's house and suffered from mental health challenges, uses watercolors, which she can work with excellently despite her tremor. Her unique style is a blend of expressionism and surrealism, characterized by a multifaceted layering that creates depth and color intensity. Her art reflects her intense emotions; she gives equal expression to personal suffering and radiant joy, often embodied in her passionately painted female faces and happy-looking animals.
