The work "The Chairs 2" references Eugène Ionesco's absurdist play "The Chairs." "Les chaises," the original title, is a one-act play in which an elderly couple intends to celebrate the husband's birthday with friends and acquaintances. Many chairs are set up on stage for the expected guests. In the end, the chairs remain empty; the guests do not appear. The couple is left alone with a deaf speaker. The image is a monotype on paper.
