The hand-embroidered textile works on dyed linen, made from high-quality cashmere,
combine traditional materials with modern aesthetics. The artist uses geometric shapes and
reduces the human portrait to its basic elements. The question is raised as to how little necessary
dig to create a human presence. By reducing forms and reducing the compositions to
traced back to their basic geometric building blocks, the series invites you to think about… the fundamental
mechanisms behind the visual perception of form.

By using different artistic techniques and symbolic languages from different cultures, works are created that build a bridge between people of different origins. After intensively studying classic glaze oil painting, Hirschfeld has developed her own abstract-figurative formal language that plays with geometric color harmonies. She also uses this in her textile works.
