About this artwork
With paintings, textile works and sculptures in a minimalist language of color and form, I dedicated myself to the ambivalence of opposites for the duo exhibition "Animus + Anima" with the artist Miro Craemer and created balances in my own way. With the exhibition title, we as the artist duo GOD IS ART refer to the thesis of the psychoanalyst CG Jung, who called the male principle in the female unconscious "animus" and the female principle in the…
male unconscious "anima". The textile work "There is no path" reminds us that there is no one right way, everyone has to find their own path. The shapes were accurately hand-embroidered with 100% cashmere yarn on specially dyed linen. The work is framed with a white wooden shadow gap frame.

By using different artistic techniques and symbolic languages from different cultures, works are created that build a bridge between people of different origins. After intensively studying classic glaze oil painting, Hirschfeld has developed her own abstract-figurative formal language that plays with geometric color harmonies. She also uses this in her textile works.
