About this artwork
The title of this series of artworks is "Maze of the Mind," consisting of several pieces with the same name.
This collection explores the human mind, the most complex and unknown aspect of existence.A place where thoughts, emotions, memories, experiences, and imagination reside.
On the other hand, within the human mind, there are also dark parts, such as traumas, fears, and hopelessness, stemming from challenges and pains. However, confronting these… dark areas, accepting them, and working on them can lead to greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of oneself, bringing more light to the mind.
In this collection, I have endeavored to depict the human mind, its complexities, and the ongoing battle between positive and negative thoughts in various forms, illustrating that these two aspects together represent the truth of human existence. The goal of this artwork is to convey that this combination can create beauty and that there is no need to hide the darker dimensions.

Tara Partovirad is an Iran-born visual artist based in Munich, whose work is shaped by migration, memory, and defiance. Rooted in self-taught painting and calligraphy, her practice unfolds through an ongoing negotiation between identity, experience, and expression.
Working across mediums—from expressive calligraphy painting to stained glass—she transforms material into carriers of tension and meaning, merging abstract expressionism with conceptual depth. Her works confront themes of freedom and oppression , resilience and peace, with a particular sensitivity to the realities of women and children.
By deconstructing Persian calligraphy, she detaches text from legibility and reclaims it as pure emotion—an unspoken yet universally felt language. Subtle yet charged, her works hold political and social undercurrents, inviting the viewer into a space where beauty, struggle, and hope coexist.
