With my acrylic painting "Blue Distance," I have captured a still moment of vastness and inner movement. A female figure stands at the edge of an open space, gazing into the distance. The black and white striped scarf, fluttering in the wind, adds dynamism to the tranquil composition and connects the figure to the surrounding landscape of various shades of blue.
Blue dominates the image as a color of depth, tranquility, and contemplation. At the… same time, the strong contrast of the stripes creates a graphic element that conveys movement and modern elegance.
The character remains anonymous and thus becomes a projection surface for one's own thoughts and feelings – between departure, memory and quiet contemplation of the distance.
