In this picture I captured the moment when the day slowly comes to rest and the sky glows in soft tones.
The dark silhouettes of the trees stand still against a sky that dissolves into pink, blue and gold – a brief moment between light and darkness, full of silence and magic.
I'm working here with acrylic on sturdy cardboard, 30 x 30 cm. The simple, black wooden frame (43 x 43 cm) gives the painting depth and focus without taking away its lightness.
