Going back to the origin of the compound word from Greek, we would have that it comes from:
kalós (beautiful), eidos (image), and skopéō (to observe), literally meaning "to observe beautiful images." In this piece, made to be observed, beauty is sought, whether it is found is another matter, and its image is multifaceted. It invites the observer to move around it on a physical and mental journey. From fresh and direct resolutions, it shifts to others… that are complex and overestimated, scratches that appear obscuring other worlds where the white light blinds toward darkness.
It can be presented with a metal stand or in a methacrylate box. The former allows it to be walked around, while the latter encourages a desire to understand it.
