About this artwork
An abstract canvas artwork with bright colors and geometric shapes features a mix of vibrant colors on a deep blue background.
The composition of the image is dynamic, with a multitude of geometric and organic shapes arranged unpredictably against the background. Colorful shapes, such as circles, lines, and polygonal forms, float in space, creating an atmosphere full of energy and vitality. The colors are applied spontaneously, with visible transitions… and blends between different areas of the painting. Varied textures are apparent on the canvas, creating a textured surface, with visible brushstrokes and a slightly textured effect on certain elements. The overall arrangement of the work does not follow an apparent direction or logical system, focusing instead on the colorful and textural juxtaposition of the shapes.
Thierry Buisson, a self-taught painter from Lyon, trained in the world of Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Picasso. In 2024, he was awarded a medal by the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters. Her technique is a rhythmic and instinctive combination of acrylic, pastel chalk and plaster. Her work falls within an expressive abstraction, inherited from cubism, where structure dialogues with emotion. Her abstract works invite the viewer to transcend words, creating a space for personal imagination. A proponent of automatism, where the artist gives free rein to their gesture without strict planning. His work is based on organic forms that suggest creatures or characters, without being realistic.
Theb develops a pictorial universe which he calls Lyromorphism.
