About this artwork
This is a series of photographs taken by me in NY representing the 9/11 Heroes of the NY FD and the NYPD. We all know too well of the horrors of this tragedy. Whatever caused it is irrelevant. I personally believe it was an inside job and that the twin towers were blown up from the inside as have been more or less proven by now. Nevertheless the victims are not to be blamed and the Heroes never to be forgotten. They gave their lives serving their… country in an effort to save other New Yorkers lives. We owe them all our respect.
Facts: 2.749 people died at World Trade Center. 342 were NY-Firemen, 144 were NY Police men and women. My art is a celebration of their bravery and sacrifice.

Combining satirical and historical elements, Dellert mixes painting, collage and graphic art to convey both the deep darkness and shining hope of humanity.
