This is a series of complex photo montages depicting some of my photographer heroes as complex as they were in their lives as persons and the subjects. I had the opportunity to meet a few of them in life. I curated an exhibit for Leif Erik Nygårds. I met Christer Strömholm in Stockholm and bought a few signed original photos from him. Nan Goldin came to visit me in my home in Paris together with my old friend Joakim Strömholm,, Christers son who… is a photographer like his father. Andy Warhol I met many times both in Stockholm in Paris and in New York, Cindy Sherman I met also in Paris and took her portrait, and I met Erwin Olaf whose gay & fetish photography has opened doors for the understanding of homosexuality. I met Helmut Newton also in Paris back in the 1970s, who wanted to photograph me in drag. I nearly meet Leni Riefenstahl at the Book Fair in Hamburg. She was too sick to come. I met Peter Beard in Stockholm. One day I hope I will meet Shirin Neshat, whose art is important.
