About this artwork
Stardust is a new pop art tribute to the stars of rock and pop music that are now part of the eternity of the milky way. By recycling public relation images from the stars life in conjunction with parts of pop art images from the sixties
Thomas Dellert who is both a visual artist, and photographer as well as a singer songwriter
have created works in the format of vintage vinyl covers printed on aluminium as a kind of silent rock music where the… beats are in your mind and the melodies linger on in our collective memory like " Star Dust " that sparkles in the metallic night of rock.
Thomas personally met many of these rock legends like Hendrix, Bowie, Jackson, Vicious, or Gainsbourg. Thomas also sings and has recorded songs by all these singers and composers.
