After the war he left the Air Force and set up an haute couture house in the fashionable resort of Canzone del Mare on the Isle of Capri. My mother the Opera singer Kjerstin Dellert was a close friend of the British singer Gracie Fields the owner of the exclusive plage Canzone del Mare and my mother became one of Pucci’s first clients. I spent 40 summers in Capri .
