About this artwork
Manhattan Magic is new photography from the city of New York by Contemporary Art photographer Thomas Dellert Dellacroix. He has been focusing on the Emptiness in a city that usually is overcrowded . This series of recent images are poetic and full of solitude and serine sadness that we all feel this year 2021 in trying hard to survive Covid 19 and a growing revolution and depression .
At the same time it's a celebration to the city who has given… the artist so much since he first came here in the 1960s. He laughed and cried here. He had his two sons in schools here and he has performed as a singer and actor here and exhibited his art here and even done works for Andy Warhol here in 1980 .
He seen it all. Through the magic of Manhattan.
