The First Lady Jaqueline Kennedy arriving with Air Force One to Dallas "LOVE Field " Airport on November 22, 1963, a day that would change the world.
She was wearing a Pink Shez Ninon ,Chanel "Copy" suit, being French after all.
This suit would in a few hours be stained with the blood of the assassinated President and become a legend as she refused to take it off later that day to show the world what they had done to her husband and children and… America . The suit was never cleaned and never will be. It sits today, unfolded and shielded from light, in an acid-free container in a windowless room somewhere inside the National Archives and Records Administration’s complex in Maryland; the precise location is kept secret. Meanwhile, the whereabouts of the pink pillbox hat remain a mystery. It has never been found. Somewhere inside Parkland Hospital, the hat came off. Where is it today? Jackie is buried at Arlington National Cemetery alongside President Kennedy.
