If there is one city in the world that you should visit in your life then it must be Venice.
Painters and composers, writers, poets ,sculptures and film makers have lived ,worked loved and died there. Some are buried there on the funeral island. Movies like Visconti’s Death in Venice fills your mind. Walking through Venice day and night is like walking in a painting by Canaletto.
I came to Venice already as a child with my mother who loved the… sinking masterpiece of a city.
I have since then experienced Venice through me life in all its lights, seasons ,flooding's , Carnaval's, and even in snow and ice. I have lived there for years and will always come back.
There is always a Champagne Bellini waiting at Ernest Hemingway’s hang out Harry’s Bar , or a coffee and Strega at Cafe Florian. But the best is to go away from the touristic center and get lost in the labyrinth of narrow allies and find yourself wondering in a time capsule, like a Dream within a dream.
