This watercolor is part of a series that was created during my trip to Norway in 2022 and reflects the abundance, space, freedom and carefreeness that I experience in this country.
The watercolors are fragments of my encounter with nature there and paint a fleeting portrait of my subjective experience.
For me, this country is full of contrasts and brutal forces of nature.
A country that gives me a feeling of home.

Thomas Hain, a visual artist who focuses on painting and was inspired by a formative encounter with art in Italy. He experiments with the glazing technique on heavy, self-stretched canvases and creates relief-like surfaces by scratching, rolling and spatulas that create a tangible tension between form and color. His works radiate a dynamic calm and convey the balance between destruction and creation, which transports the viewer into the unique moment of creation.
