About this artwork
This work was born from a moment of silence, inspired by the search for the spark that exists in each of us, even in times of darkness or cold.
The inspiration came from the perception of our human experience as an interplay of opposites. The cool, swirling blue and white tones, which form from within themselves, represent the outer layers of our being – the mind, the challenges of life, the moments of isolation and separation. They represent what… surrounds us and sometimes holds us captive.
But at the center of this vortex, where the forms are deepest and densest, lies the true secret: the gold. This gold symbolizes the indestructible essence of our soul—the light that is not of this world, yet exists within it. It represents the spiritual truth that nourishes us.

Tina Ternes is a self-taught painter with a background in body and sound therapy.
She became an artist because she could never be satisfied with the surface alone. Her gaze has always been drawn to what lies behind things – those invisible threads that hold our world together at its core. In her work, she invites us to dive into the depths with her.
Her works are created intuitively and abstractly, characterized by impasto techniques, wet-on-wet painting, and fluid painting, in which she explores hidden layers and floral elements with acrylic paint. Her art conveys an atmosphere of transformation, purification, and re-creation, inviting viewers to recognize the beautiful and the hidden. Inner worlds yearn to be discovered, and in an artistic space, visible forms enter into dialogue with the invisible.
