About this artwork
This work arose from the desire to make the intangible visible: the feeling of tenderness. I didn't simply want to paint an object, but to capture the moment of a fleeting, deeply emotional touch. It is a depiction of that instant when one pauses and the world around one becomes completely silent.
The painting captivates with its fragile complexity. The dark depths and passionate reds in the background are not painted over, but rather embraced… by a delicate, feather-light veil of white. Like mist gently settling over the landscape, this luminous structure softens the contrasts without diminishing their power.
It is a visual meditation on gentleness – proof that the greatest strength often lies in tenderness.
For me, this image is an invitation to understand one's own sensitivity not as a weakness, but as a fine, protective shell.

Tina Ternes is a self-taught painter with a background in body and sound therapy.
She became an artist because she could never be satisfied with the surface alone. Her gaze has always been drawn to what lies behind things – those invisible threads that hold our world together at its core. In her work, she invites us to dive into the depths with her.
Her works are created intuitively and abstractly, characterized by impasto techniques, wet-on-wet painting, and fluid painting, in which she explores hidden layers and floral elements with acrylic paint. Her art conveys an atmosphere of transformation, purification, and re-creation, inviting viewers to recognize the beautiful and the hidden. Inner worlds yearn to be discovered, and in an artistic space, visible forms enter into dialogue with the invisible.
