A relief mountain landscape in a neutral color scheme, above which a flock of doves flies.
The relief is made of solid aluminum sheet, which is hammered and shaped both by hand and by flame. The doves are made of polished bronze sheet and levitate above the background at different heights. Each of the birds has a different shape. The entire relief has a very calming, zen-like impression. On the back is a wooden plate to which all the elements are… attached and which also serves to hang on the wall.
The relief is part of the cycle "From Roots to Heaven", which represents an abstract treatise on the complexity of life's paths and exits through the parable of nature.
Tomáš Holub, a Czech painter and visual artist with a background in geodesy, interior design, and jewelry, works primarily with painting and collage. He crafts abstract, multi-layered paintings using his own primers, emphasizing harmonious, poetic surfaces marked by time’s changes, often applying Wabi Sabi principles, brushes, sponges, and even scraping techniques. His style contrasts Zen-like forest abstractions with witty, hand-cut fashion collages. Through symbols of birds, forests, and energetic forms, he channels themes of community, growth, and complexity. His art radiates tranquility and positive energy, inviting viewers to reconnect with themselves and the natural world.
