This is work was commissioned and both myself and the buyer were extremely happy with the result. I took the photograph out of the apartment's window which gave it a unique personal feel. The frame was a concept that the buyer and I discussed and jointly researched to come up with this beautiful, one off, extremely personal piece. It evoked the feelings that were described perfectly, and I immensely enjoyed the process, the interaction and the end… result of a work that without a doubt is personal and carries with it many stories. It was truly a privilege to be part of this story.
Tomaz Favilla is an Anglo-Brazilian digital artist with roots in music and visual arts, educated at Brighton University and the Escola Pan-americana de Arte e Design. His technique involves digitally manipulating original photographs, emulating fine art painting styles while embracing intentional image error and glitch. He strongly believes that images printed on canvas deliver the best results. It gives viewers the experience of having to "look again" to check whether it is printed or every detail made by a physical brush. It is truly, unique. Visually, technically and soulfully. His works undoubtedly transmit feelings. Through his experimental process, he explores the cycles of creation and destruction to depict silent equilibrium amidst chaos. His artworks powerfully convey both the striking beauty and melancholy of transformation, offering viewers a sense of profound stillness and hope within tumultuous reality. His work has become part of his constant path to acquire inner peace.
