About this artwork
This paint has a textured base. The use of the knife allows to hang the reliefs to bring out the colors. What gives us an effect of old bluish parchment where some writings remain… An ancient city which is reflected in an abstract way on a river bed. Garish colors applied with a knife to have texture again. A black frame directly on the canvas to accentuate the contrast.

« Artistic genius can be about making the unacceptable acceptable. »
Tristan Wendlinger is a self-taught artist based in Toulouse. He creates colorful paintings, somewhere between abstraction and figuration, inspired by the moment and his mood. His works sometimes blend gold leaf and subtle textures, but generally remain refined, centered on the harmony of colors and their complementarity.
Painting allows him to escape, to break away from everyday life and to capture the beauty of the present moment.
At the same time, he creates high-end custom decorative coatings, including contemporary faux marble, applied directly at the client's premises. Open to custom projects, he works anywhere, in France and abroad.
