About this artwork
In this work, I let myself be carried away by the passion for the semi-abstract and expressionism. The faces sketched in acrylic and graffiti evoke both the complexity of human emotions, juxtaposing grief and contemplation with the vivacity of hope, symbolized by splashes of bright color. On paper, I captured the ephemeral essence of our moods, thus offering a powerful dynamic and an inner dialogue to any space.

« I like to represent the movement of the body while playing on sensitive emotional chords. »
Tropel is a French painter who hails from Rouen and has exhibited nationally as well as in Luxembourg and Belgium. His works are oriented towards suggestion and his approach is focused on the language and expression of the body. Inspired by calligraphy, he translates movement, gestures and lines through the deformation of the body, in order to extract ‘the essential’. Tropel works mainly with acrylic paints, as they challenge him to work in a quick and spontaneous manner.
