About this artwork
Companion to “Heart in Color”
If Heart in Color is the courage to be seen, then I Will Always Be There is the quiet vow that follows: the promise that connection endures, even when form and distance shift.
Here, the figure bends inward not in defeat, but in recognition. Their silhouette fractures into textured light, as if emotion has carved new pathways through the body. Ahead of them, a distant figure walks through a luminous corridor, a reminder… that presence is not always beside us, but within us.
This piece is a meditation on devotion in its most vulnerable form: the kind that survives separation, memory, and time. It is about how love like color does not disappear when it fades; it simply moves into a different part of the spectrum, still felt, still glowing.
Where Heart in Color reveals what spills outward,
I Will Always Be There reveals what remains.
Together, they speak to the alchemy of emotion how connection transforms us.
Uchenna Obinabo-Mabazza, founder of the Mabazza Foundation, is a visual conceptual artist whose work bridges digital creation and classical craftsmanship. Working across mediums, he produces both original oil paintings developed in collaboration with traditional painters and fine-art prints derived from his digital compositions. Drawing from personal experience and universal themes, his art blends sculptural chiaroscuro with expressive color to explore resilience, identity, and healing. Through digital portraiture, hand-painted interpretations, and conceptual works, he creates emotionally resonant pieces marked by quiet intensity and reflective depth. Each piece invites viewers into a space of honesty and restoration, rooted in personal truth and a broader commitment to uplifting others. Through the Mabazza Foundation, his art supports cancer survivors and communities in need, transforming creative expression into a pathway for compassion and connection.
