About this artwork
Here you can see the imagery FE 86 (about 40 cm), a steel image that was digitized and then laminated on Alu-Dibond using FineArt Print and alienated in form and materiality. FE (Ferrum) is the chemical term for iron. Materials such as oxidizing agents, shellac ink and ammonia have given the original on steel these structures. It is an interaction between attraction and repulsion.
The plexiglass pane gives the structures a special depth and makes… the picture striking.
in the placement of an image it is important to consider the perspective, it is just as important as the image itself. Pay attention to light and shadow as well as the angle of incidence, this can greatly enliven the effect.
The color orange demonstrably leads to a release of the reward hormone dopamine in the brain - motivation and zest for life increase. This shade has an invigorating and mood-enhancing effect.

« My current work combines the connections in life that are visible and invisible, that can be associated with what we are familiar with, and that perception gives impulses reflecting on perceiving another context. The steel material with the picturesque surface is intended to cause irritation. »
In the beautiful Schaalsee region lies the tranquil village of Sterley.
Almost 20 years ago, she discovered a small steel plate and experimented with how, if, and with what means one could work with this heavy material to create a painterly effect.
Without a pen or brush, she drips, pours paint, sands and rubs, applies mass and creates very special works of art.
Everything is connected to everything else, and art, in particular, brings this to light and allows emotions to emerge. Each of her works, which she previously also created on paper and canvas, evokes deep emotion and love and appreciation for the master of being, nature. The abstract technique allows for different interpretations, highlighting associations, and finding connections.
In her art, Ulea Wesemeyer is concerned with the different perspectives in life, the appreciation of nature and the diversity of human existence, and the mobilization of gratitude for existence.
