About this artwork
In my artwork, I play with the idea of order and chaos. I use felt to create a series of geometric patterns that, although repeated, charge each line and dot with an invisible, deeper meaning. The metaphysical tension between the seemingly regular shapes and the individual irregularity of each mark reflects the human experience—the search for meaning in a seemingly random universe. This image brings a very special energy to your home, one that inspires…
and provokes reflection.

Uli Viereck, a communication designer and artist, uses media such as drawing, painting, and photography and has a background in graphic design. His artistic style encompasses formally reduced and black-and-white "spatial images," "structures," and "enunciations" in which lines and surfaces stand out without the use of color or tonal values. Inspired by Concrete Art and Minimalism, Viereck constructs a unique aesthetic whose graphic precision signifies only itself and bears no symbolic message. His artistic work therefore reflects a deep concentration and a consistent rejection of representation.
