About this artwork
Ulla Kutter painted the raindrops on the car windscreen. The picture therefore has two levels: in the background a city landscape can be seen out of focus, in the foreground the sharp drops and gradients. Each drop is uniquely depicted, and many of the drops contain inverted small images of the landscape behind them. Even the traffic light was broken by a drop. Power lines can be seen diagonally, giving the picture a special dynamic. Ulla Kutter…
