About this artwork
Nubra valley is the northern most part of Jammu and Kashmir in India. Nubra valley has an average altitude of about 10000 feet above the sea level.
It is a broad valley with lofty Himalayas on all sides, many small streams, white sand dunes of Hunder and one can spot the tourists riding the two-humped Bactrian camels while enjoying the picturesque view.
In this painting, I have attempted to capture the quiet majesty of the Himalayas and I aimed… to evoke the serene energy and vast openness of this landscape. The gentle movement of the camels and the expansive sky bring warmth and a sense of adventure, making your space feel calm yet alive with stories from afar.
