About this artwork
Antarctica from the air - bird's eye view
The works with self-made fillers, such as marble dust and chalk, plastering materials, sand and self-collected earth, give the works an unmistakable feel. There are also inks, pigments, inks, airbrush colors and acrylic dispersion. The sometimes up to forty thin layers of paint, which are applied completely liquid, give the picture a wonderful depth.

« Art is to let go and not stand in the way of creation.... »
Ursula Glatz is an artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and Germany. Principally inspired by the seemingly small elements of nature, she likens her artistic process to that of nature's. In the creation of her distinctive compositions, Glatz primes, paints, and structures her canvases with various building materials, adding pigments, stains, oils, etc. employing the wet on wet technique.
