About this artwork
This acrylic painting is a deliberate departure from the familiar and embodies the courage to explore new artistic paths. At the heart of the composition is the graceful portrait of a woman, crowned by an imposing, floral red hat. Her calm, almost stoic gaze forms the emotional core of the work.
However, this controlled, classical framework breaks radically in the lower part of the canvas. In a final, liberating step, the acrylic paint was deliberately… set into flow. These dynamic, cascading rivulets of color in vibrant red, ochre, and blue stand in stark contrast to the precise rendering of the face and flowers.
The work celebrates letting go. It captures precisely that powerful energy that arises when one dares to break free from perfection and consciously allows the colors to ultimately follow their own untamed path.
