About this artwork
This plein air painting was created in my garden at the beginning of June. The scent of white and delicate violet night violets accompanied me as I painted. Annual poppy plants ranging from delicate pink to a strong red are the focus here. Behind these, a few orange-red perennial poppy flowers flash out. Blue and yellow-red lupins can be seen on the left edge of the painting. A path paved with gray field stones leads to a small area with two large…
stones. In the background, the green vegetation is broken up by a few rose blossoms. Part of a water surface from the pond shimmers in warm brown and green tones. For me, the painting brings the lively energy of a summer day into a room. The canvas is hand-stretched, primed four times and provided with a steel wire for hanging. The edges are painted. The painting can be hung up straight away. The signature is on the front.
