La Serenissima was awarded to Venice as an honorary title. Unfortunately, today's Venice is overcrowded with people and awful cruise ships.
The painter has visited Venice very frequently in the last decades. For the painter the charm of this unique and wonderful place is mostly revealed at the evening and she captured it in her acrylic paintings.
Bright highlights contrast with the darker tones of green, indigo, and black. The artist always begins… with a translucent, colored underpainting. A painting emerges through the application of transparent and opaque layers of paint. Only high-quality, highly pigmented artist's paints are used. The luminosity of these colors is essential for expressive color effects and lasting enjoyment of the painting process.
