About this artwork
The main inspiration for all floral paintings is always a walk through nature with the camera. Various perspectives on the flora and its forms are always stimulating, especially the change between very close viewing and far away. Her paintings are intended to convey a composition of color, form, lightness, transparency and mobility. Individual flowers, bushes and leaves are also often presented in a different color selection.
This “Sommer Meadow”… was created after a visit to the Nolde Museum in Seebüll. Various flowers in different colors bloom against a dark green background. This work combines mainly floral painting with abstract elements. The painter takes her floral forms from nature, which continually inspires her. The image is created by applying many glazing translucent and opaque layers of color. Looking at the picture shows graphic elements from a distance, and many organic shapes and textures from close up. The image was created by applying many layers of high-quality paint.
