About this artwork
I painted this picture from my own photograph after a trip to the municipality of Heiligenblut am Großglockner.
Heiligenblut is a mountain village in Carinthia at the foot of Austria's highest mountain (3798m).
In this work, I attempted to capture the serene harmony between the church and the majestic mountain landscape. Using acrylics, I achieved a balance of realism and symbolism, conveying tranquility and grandeur. I wanted to depict the connection… between tradition and nature and offer the viewer a sense of security and reverent stillness. This painting brings inspiration and serenity to any room.
The painting is primed and finished with a glossy varnish for protection and better color brilliance.
I only used colored pencils and graphite pencils for sketching, but it's painted over with acrylic paints.
