About this artwork
In this work, I fused acrylic, collage, gilding, and ink to explore themes of transformation and resilience. The rich texture and symbolic patterns invite introspection. The colors and shapes, from soft blue to vibrant gold, symbolize the soul's journey toward light and rebirth. This painting will bring an inspiring and deeply moving energy to your space.
Theseus must enter the labyrinth to fight the Minotaur, a monster that demands its annual tribute… of young men. Ariadne, the daughter of the King of Crete, falls in love with him and reveals the secret of the labyrinth, offering him the thread that will allow him to escape the trap. Saved by the young girl, Theseus promises to marry her but abandons her on the island. Ariadne dies of sadness.
I interpreted this myth and we can find the sea, the sail and the death of Ariadne.
